Client Overview Well-established and growing organization in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. Salary/Hourly Rate $85k - $100k Position Overview The Senior Accountant will join a growing accounting team and play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant Manage and support the monthly and year-end close process. Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records. Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reporting. Analyze account balances and investigate variances. Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Support internal and external audits. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Collaborate with internal departments on accounting-related matters. Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed. Required Experience/Skills For The Senior Accountant 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Hands-on experience with month-end close and account reconciliations. Strong Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with an ERP or accounting system. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Senior Accountant Experience preparing financial statements. Experience with budgeting and forecasting. Public accounting or audit experience. CPA or CPA-track experience. Experience working in a multi-entity or growing organization.
