RECREATION ATTENDANT NF1* (RPT) SINGLE MARINE PROGRAM RECREATION CENTERS

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. The incumbent is involved in recreational activities at the Single Marine and Sailor Program (SMP) Recreation Center at Kaneohe Bay Marine Base. Performs and/or assists in the operation of the SMP Recreation Center. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of the program participants. Typical assignments may include: Maintaining and executing daily operations at the Single Marine Program facility to include checking out recreational equipment, providing information on programs and events, and interacting with patrons. Check and maintain inventories of supplies and recreation equipment. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting, arranging furniture, and disposing of trash. Notes for repairs for supervisor¿s attention and completes necessary reports. Must be able to work independently. Assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed. Operate a cash register, receive payments and make change. Assist and/or conduct new join briefs for authorized patrons within the facility. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Six months experience in the assigned recreational activity is desired. Skill to learn MCCS and Single Marine Program policies, rules and regulations involving the area, and ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic mathematics. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. EVALUATIONS:
