Role Overview: The Registered Nurse supports patient care by implementing the nursing process, ensuring safety, recovery, and comfort. They provide education, advocacy, and practice in compliance with regulatory standards, collaborating with the care team to improve quality and unit services. Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Ensure safe patient environment, prevent harm, and promote healing Educate patients on their conditions, self-care, and abnormal findings Assist in shift planning, unit improvement, and resource management Precept, train, and validate competencies of new staff and students Delegate tasks appropriately and communicate effectively with team members Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an RN program; BSN preferred 1+ years of clinical experience in acute care preferred California RN license; active certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable Specialty certifications and experience in orthopedics, stroke, or cardiac cath lab are advantageous Strong decision-making, communication, and leadership skills Additional Information: The role involves practicing to full scope within legal boundaries, supporting quality care delivery, and adhering to regulatory and institutional standards. Certifications must be current, and candidates should demonstrate a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
