INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER (INTERDISCIPLINARY)

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as liaison to designated construction agents and represent SSP at meetings and conferences to direct Command positions. You will monitor the work performed by contractors to ensure quality products and installation and assures that construction conforms to the approved design and SSP facility design criteria. You will investigate, coordinate and resolve construction deficiencies, contract deviations, change requests, technical requests for information, and other technical issues encountered during construction. You will develop, plan, and conduct verification and validation inspection and testing to ensure the construction meets client requirements. You will manage and oversee facilities projects as the Contracting Officer's Representative on contracts, as designated by the Contracting Officer. You will conduct technical reviews of design and construction submittals and other technical documents for conformance to requirements and criteria. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing professional engineer work managing facilities construction; and/or performing construction quality assurance to identify and resolve design and construction deficiencies and contract deviations.
