We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant to join our growing finance team in Escanaba, Michigan. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Corporate Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances. Prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules for management. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. Assist with cash management and treasury-related activities. Coordinate with operational departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Support annual audits and serve as a liaison with external auditors. Assist with preparing year-end workpapers and tax support documentation. Monitor compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls. Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiencies. Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned by the Controller. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of progressive accounting experience required. Public accounting experience is a plus. CPA certification or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environments. Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups. Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
