Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) / Per Diem

MAIN FUNCTIONS: The Cardiovascular Lab RCIS is responsible for assisting the physician in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures on adult patients and providing quality care in the cardiovascular labs. Additionally, the Cardiovascular Lab RCIS will assist the physician in all aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure. EDUCATION: High School Graduate with a RCIS certification. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum requirement of one (1) year previous cardiac cath lab scrub and hemodynamic monitoring experience and currently working in a cardiac cath, vascular lab and/or special procedures environment for the past three (3) years. Previous cath lab experience is critical to this role because this individual will be expected to be on the “Code Heart” team within 30 to 45 days. LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate RCIS certification. Current BLS certification required and ACLS certification required within six (6) months of employment.
