Sr. Software Engineer

Summary: CBTS is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, build, and modernize enterprise applications for a client in the financial services space. This is a hands-on engineering role for a senior developer who can operate with autonomy — driving technical solutions from requirements through deployment while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders. Candidates must reside in, OR RELOCATE to the Cincinnati area for an ON-SITE position. Duties: Design application code, implement technical solutions, and configure applications across environments to solve business problems Write applications to solve analytical and data-driven challenges Own all phases of software engineering: requirements analysis, design, development, and testing Design and implement reusable components, frameworks, and libraries in partnership with business and IT teams Partner with strategic customers to containerize and modernize applications, applying containerization best practices Code, test, release, and support production data and applications Design software solutions for complex technical problems Build and automate testing processes across solutions Work independently, exercising the judgment and initiative expected of a senior-level engineer Requires: Technical degree or equivalent work experience Strong hands-on skills in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot Experience with AWS a must Working knowledge of containerization and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices Familiarity with Backbase API a plus Financial, Fintech, money transfer, or payments industry experience preferred but not required No 3rd Party Submissions CBTS provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a protected veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.”
