Emerald Resource Group Software Developer (2 Open Roles) Location: Richfield, Ohio (4 days in office, 1 remote) Type: Full time, direct hire Salary: $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and background Open roles: One Junior/Mid-level developer and one Mid/Senior-level developer. About us We're a fast growing cybersecurity SaaS startup building a modern Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform with training automation and AI built in. Our customers rely on us to strengthen their cyber and risk posture and meet their IT compliance obligations. Our stack Frontend: Vue / Nuxt, JavaScript / TypeScript Backend: Java (Spring), Docker, CI/CD Infrastructure: Terraform Cloud: AWS (ECS, EC2, SQS, RDS, S3) or equivalent What you'll do Design and ship customer-facing and internal GRC tools across the full stack Build automated security, audit, and compliance systems Design and tune the APIs, databases, and services behind complex regulatory workflows Own features end to end, including testing, validation, and documentation Contribute to technical design and code reviews Improve platform reliability, data traceability, and reporting Must haves BS degree and 2+ years building business-critical applications Strong server-side fundamentals in an object-oriented language (Java strongly preferred) Experience developing and maintaining APIs Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure) Ability to design and maintain enterprise-grade software (Mid/Senior level) Nice to haves Experience with LLMs, their APIs, or building AI agents Background in GRC, risk, or cybersecurity platforms Familiarity with SOC 2, CMMC, HIPAA, NIST, or HITRUST (learnable on the job) Experience in healthcare tech or fintech Who thrives here Curious, proactive engineers who are comfortable with ambiguity, communicate clearly, and care about secure, clean, maintainable code and overall software quality.
