Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment. Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, HDPE, and PP. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of key general ledgers related to leases, construction in progress (CIP), fixed assets, and various tax related accounts. Additionally, the Staff Accountant coordinates income tax related requests for three entities and actively participates in annual financial audit. The staff Accountant will also support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, work closely with various departments to gather necessary information, and consolidate financial reports for five entities using Cognos reporting. MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Maintain and Manage CIP and Fixed Asset Accounts: Collaborate with capital project owners to track/analyze CapEx spending and update project completion status Prepare account reconciliations and depreciation entries Maintain fixed asset and software tracking using Sage software for asset addition, disposal, and transfer Conduct a company-wide annual physical count of fixed assets Participate in CIP & Fixed Asset related forecast and budget process Review CapEx Proposals Lease Accounting: Prepare monthly lease entries for multiple entities Audit Support: Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations Aid in the preparation of audit financial statement footnotes Support manager in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Tax Compliance: Coordinate with US entities on income tax related requests from CPA firm and Toray Japan headquarters Prepare sales tax, property tax and other regulatory reporting and tax returns Month-end and year-end closing: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting Support budget and forecasting, prepare and consolidate Cognos reporting for five entities Other duties as assigned by the manager EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required CPA or previous experience in audit or tax area is a plus Versatile accounting skillsets with minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related role Strong knowledge of USGAAP or IFRS Proficient in MS Excel; prior experience in Sage, Cognos and Microsoft Dynamic D365 is a plus Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and very accurate at work Excellent communication skills and organizational skills Experience in fast-paced manufacturing industry is a plus Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
