The position will work closely with the Senior Accountants and Staff Accountants to ensure that all daily fiduciary duties are completed and reconciled. Responsibilities may also extend to provide support within the following functions: (1) Accounts Payable, (2) Accounts Receivable, (3) Premium Processing, (4) Mortgage Processing, (5) Reject Processing, and (6) General Accounting. Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform daily cash balancing for premium collections in fiduciary companies Reconcile and process daily premium rejects Perform month-end close for fiduciary companies, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations Review and process premium refunds Generate and post fiduciary check runs for claims and refunds Prepare documentation support for client audits Prepare and enter journal entries for corporate month-end close Perform corporate account reconciliations Assist in the corporate Accounts Payable process by coding, entering, and routing invoices for approval Assist in the corporate Accounts Receivable process as well as collections Qualifications Education and Experience: Four-year degree in Accounting or related Business degree with Accounting emphasis. 0-2 years of relevant experience. Intermediate or advanced user of Excel. Proficient with Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Sage 100 a plus. Other Skills And Knowledge Excellent communication skills Must be a self-starter that can work independently Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
