Technologist - Mammography Lead

Job Summary Operates imaging equipment to perform routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment. May assume lead responsibilities and perform additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities Conducts imaging procedures using appropriate technical and safety protocols. Exercises judgment in selecting settings for each patient and develops treatment plans following established guidelines. Documents procedures to ensure compliance, maintains equipment and work areas for safety and cleanliness. Participates in quality improvement activities, monitors performance data, and ensures standards are met. Coordinates patient scheduling, assigns tasks to team members, and oversees workflow for efficient care. Provides clinical instruction, trains new staff, and supports ongoing education and competency assessments. Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation for regulatory compliance. Completes assigned goals to support department operations. Qualifications Minimum of 6 months mammography experience. Completion of an accredited radiography program; an associate degree in a related field is preferred. Demonstrates thorough understanding of radiologic principles, techniques, and positioning. Licensure includes ARRT registration in Radiography, BLS certification, and state licensing as required.
