The Position The Accountant is responsible for the processing of various financial data elements that assist in the production of timely and accurate financial statements used to support management decision making. Works in collaboration with financial team members ensuring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and accounting tasks are completed accurately and timely. What You’ll Do Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards. Process employee expense reports, insurance and benefit billings, and related payments. Manage accounts receivable activities, including Family House accounts and credit memos. Prepare payroll reporting and enter payroll data into the accounting system. Oversee fixed asset accounting, including asset additions, disposals, and record maintenance. Reconcile cash, bank, and investment accounts to the general ledger. Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, including accruals and intercompany transactions. Analyze account activity, identify discrepancies, and prepare corrective entries as needed. Perform variance analysis and assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes. Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation for external auditors and tax filings. Maintain CMS cost reports and supporting documentation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Provide timely financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support organizational decision-making. Collaborate with auditors, regulatory agencies, and external partners to ensure compliance and reporting requirements are met. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation preferred. Working knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and GAAP principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other accounting software applications. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial data, invoices, and transactions for accuracy and compliance. Ability to prepare, reconcile, and maintain financial records with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information. Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
