Role Overview: Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, serving as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit needs. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards. Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatments, and disease management. Administer medications safely, adhering to policies and pharmacology knowledge. Support resource management, including staffing, supplies, and time efficiency. Maintain compliance with nursing standards, regulations, and institutional policies. Participate in nursing governance, quality improvement, peer reviews, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Mentor new staff, students, and observers, fostering a supportive learning environment. Engage in professional development and mandatory training activities. Perform additional duties to ensure safe, effective patient care. Qualifications & Skills Compassionate, patient-centered RN committed to excellence. Adaptable, eager to learn, and collaborative team player. Upholds the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and organizational standards. Flexible, responsible, and dedicated to clinical growth. Education & Licensure Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Current New York State RN license; CCRN and additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) preferred. Work Environment: Perform duties in clinical and patient care areas, requiring walking, standing, and lifting. Environment includes exposure to disinfectants and PPE use. Serves patients of all age groups.
