Responsibilities: This is a hands-on position Maintains and services a building or plant's mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Performs preventative-predictive maintenance and routine repairs to systems and equipment. Conducts periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage. Uses technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors. Orders parts needed for replacement and coordinates with service providers to complete maintenance tasks. Uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track and document activities. Helping respond to emergency maintenance requests Follow directions from the Maintenance Manager on minor repairs Effectively and safely operate standard maintenance tools including power tools, hand tools and testing equipment Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Follow safety rules and regulations as well as other departmental policies and procedures. Help further develop and improve proper safety techniques
