Position : Senior Accountant Location : Charleston, South Carolina Employment Type : Full-Time, Onsite About the Opportunity We are partnering with a growing Charleston-based company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team and play a key role in supporting the organization's continued growth. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, contribute to strategic financial initiatives, and help drive process improvements across the accounting function. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and/or construction accounting environments , along with hands-on experience utilizing NetSuite for financial reporting and analysis. Position Summary The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. This individual will serve as a key contributor to the accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure balance sheet integrity Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities Generate and distribute financial reports through NetSuite Support internal and external audit requests Analyze variances and provide recommendations to improve financial performance Assist in developing and enhancing accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures Partner with operations and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience within a manufacturing and/or construction environment strongly preferred Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP , including financial reporting Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment CPA or CPA track is a plus What You'll Receive Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work for a growing and financially stable organization Exposure to senior leadership and key business initiatives Career advancement and professional development opportunities Collaborative team environment with strong leadership support
