Industrial Security Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE Quindar is standing up an Industrial Security Program to support mission partners across the U.S. Government. We are seeking an Industrial Security Specialist I/II/III who thrives in a hands-on environment and is excited to help build, scale, and mature a compliant, high-impact security program supporting DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) customers. In this role, you will work closely with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and play a critical role in day-to-day security operations, compliance, and process development. You will be a key contributor to developing Quindar’s Industrial Security Program and implementing industrial security standards across new and existing secure spaces, directly enabling classified mission execution. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING • Support the development and delivery of security training, education, and awareness programs • Manage the full personnel clearance lifecycle, including initial submissions, upgrades, and reinvestigations • Support classified onboarding and offboarding briefings for employees • Provide local visitor control and classified meeting support • Review SF-86s for adequacy and completeness • Process incoming and outgoing Visit Access Requests (VARs) • Assist with DCSA self-inspections, assessments, and audits • Support the maintenance and continued build out of security compliance software • Help develop, revise, and maintain security policies, SPPs, and internal processes • Support physical security operations, including badging, visitor access, and secure storage • Assist with security briefings and presentations • Support ad hoc projects as the security program continues to grow and evolve • Creating and implementing new security processes for newly established secure facilities and environments • Direct support to government programs implementing industrial security requirements from SCI Nominations to building and reviewing DD-254s. THIS ROLE IS A GREAT FIT IF YOU • Enjoy building structure where minimal processes currently exist • Are comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment • Take pride in precision, compliance, and enabling mission success • Are confident in your industrial security knowledge and when you don’t know something, your response is, “I’ll find out.” QUALIFICATIONS Required: • U.S. Citizen • Active Top Secret clearance • High school diploma or higher • 2–4 years of DoD/DCSA security experience supporting an FSO or CSSO • Hands-on experience with DISS, NISS, SWFT, and NBIS • Working knowledge of the NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 and DoD 5200 series manuals • Experience managing the full clearance lifecycle (initials, upgrades, reinvestigations) • Experience with the life cycle of employee security reporting • Experience with document control and the secure handling and transmittal of classified materials and data, including inventory management, secure shipping, and couriering of classified documents and physical media • Experience in DCSA incident reporting process • Experience working directly and professionally with program managers, customers, government partners, and vendors. • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Experience building or scaling security processes in a growing organization • Experience completing a DCSA self-inspection • Experience in reviewing DD-254s to establish program security requirements • Complete the CDSE DCSA FSO Possessing Facilities Certification within six months of hire Preferred: • CDSE DCSA FSO Possessing Facilities Certification • Active Top Secret clearance with CI Poly • Experience supporting DCSA Open Storage accreditations and annual inspections • Prior involvement in day-to-day SCIF operations • Experience working in a startup or small company environment during periods of rapid growth or major contract wins • Experience with SCI nominations and associated reporting requirements • Experience building sub-contractor DD-254s and flowing to customer • Experience implementing or scaling security software systems to support an Industrial Security Program • Experience transitioning security requirements to a new facility. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Successfully transition Industrial Security processes and day-to-day security operations to Quindar’s new facility. • Support the stand-up and operational readiness of new classified spaces • Take ownership of assigned Industrial Security functions while maintaining the ability to provide cross-functional support across the team. • Help build, document, and improve scalable security processes as Quindar’s classified programs and workforce grow. • Become a trusted security resource for employees, program teams, and internal stakeholders. • Proactively identify gaps, track actions through completion, and help keep security requirements from becoming program or operational blockers. • Develop strong working relationships with DCSA, government customers, and other external security stakeholders as applicable. • Successfully operate in a growing environment, balancing new program/facility development with day-to-day Industrial Security operations
