L & S is looking for a General Shop Labor. We are seeking a self-motivated professional that has excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, communication skills, and is able to work well in a team environment. Requirements You have your High School Diploma or Equivalent. You’re a self-starter with a positive attitude. Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment. Some experience, with hand and power tools. Have basic mechanical knowledge. Able to stand for 8 hours per day with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Are comfortable using your hands for grasping pushing, pulling, tightening, adjusting and fine manipulation of different size objects. You enjoy working in a shop environment. Fluent in English: verbal and written communication. Authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Responsibilities Teardown and Assembly of Locomotive Truck Frames. Teardown and Assembly of Traction Motor Combos. Test running and inspection of Traction Motor Combos. Failure Analysis of the products listed above. Jobs are ever evolving and changing, so you will never be doing the same thing day in, day out. The products we repair/fabricate will not only be used in the United States, but worldwide. Physical Demands Able to stand for 8 hours per day with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
