Senior Software Engineer II (Golang) | Austin, TX (Hybrid) We're working with a well-funded, high-growth technology company that operates a large, distributed network of connected devices deployed across thousands of locations nationwide, delivering real-time content and data at scale. The company has scaled significantly in recent years and recently expanded its data and targeting capabilities through a strategic partnership, putting it at the leading edge of a fast-growing market category. The role: You'll join the backend team as a hands-on senior engineer, helping build and scale the systems that power the company's real-time device network and content delivery across a large, distributed fleet nationwide • with real input into architecture and technical direction as the platform is consolidated onto a modern Go codebase. You'll: Design, build, and maintain high-scale backend services in Go Deliver backend projects end-to-end • from design through to production • improving reliability, performance, and resiliency across distributed systems Build and evolve the systems that manage content delivery and device coordination across a nationwide network Design and evolve API-first services supporting both customer-facing and internal applications Contribute to system architecture and technical design for future initiatives Partner directly with Product to scope, plan, and execute backend work What we're looking for: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience Proficiency in Go, with real experience building and operating high-scale backend systems in production Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts and trade-offs Experience building API-first, customer-facing services Experience working with relational databases and data stores in production Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree Package: Base: $160k - $180k + 5% bonus + equity Strong health coverage (medical, dental, vision) with employer HSA contribution Unlimited PTO, annual learning & development stipend On-site 3x/week in Austin • hands-on, collaborative engineering culture
