ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will design and develop embedded computer systems for use in Weapons, Robotics, and Control labs. You will design and develop specialized systems and application software to support labs and design projects. You will provide support for Python and other programming languages for various operating systems on both embedded and standalone computers. You will serve as a consultant for faculty and midshipmen in the fields of microcontrollers, single board computers, electronics, systems software, and user software. You will maintain complex lab systems such as robotic systems, vision systems, communication systems, and embedded computing. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing, developing, integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced electronic, embedded computing, and control systems used in an educational and/or research environment; 2) Developing custom laboratory equipment, robotics, sensors, actuator systems, and specialized instrumentation; 3) Providing support for complex systems such as communications, vision, and unmanned vehicles.
