# Stroke Neurologist - Assistant/Associate/Professor, Clinical Scholar Pathway

Advertising Copy Stroke Neurologist Assistant/Associate/Professor, Clinical Scholar Pathway Department of Neurological Sciences Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine University of Vermont The Robert Larner, MD College of Medicine (LCOM) at the University of Vermont seeks to recruit a full-time Stroke Neurologist for a clinical faculty position participating in clinical care, teaching and research as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Center. This position is dually appointed at UVM Health, a Level-1 adult and children’s trauma center as well as a major referral center for the state of Vermont and upstate New York. The successful candidate will possess the necessary interests and skills to help expand an established high-quality clinical service. Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology is required and all applicants should be board-eligible/board-certified. Training in Neurocritical Care will also be considered. At present, the Stroke Center consists of four vascular neurologists, two neurointerventionalists, one vascular neurosurgeon, two nurse practitioners, two program coordinators, and a research coordinator. A clinical fellowship program in vascular neurology is planned and has been approved. The UVM Stroke Center is a designated StrokeNet study site and offers telestroke services throughout the UVM Health network. This position emphasizes clinical neurology and participation in LCOM educational programs while offering opportunities for clinical and translational research. The UVM research community has considerable strengths in cerebrovascular disease and stroke as well as vascular biology/biomarkers (hematological and radiographic), thrombogenesis, and the neuropharmacological control of cerebral vessels. Prospective candidates with research or teaching interests related to cerebrovascular disease, neurocritical care, epidemiology, outcomes and/or healthcare delivery are strongly encouraged to apply. Anticipated Pay Range Assistant Professor: $325,000 – $360,000 Associate Professor: $335,000 – $370,000 Professor: $350,000 – $385,000 The referenced salary ranges reflect the combined total range based on dual employment by both the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Health Medical Group. The salary ranges do not include all components of compensation. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary ranges stated herein.
