Position: Senior Accountant Location: Charlotte, NC (Southpark Area) Status: Full-Time / Salary Exempt Manager: Controller SUMMARY OF JOB: The Senior Accountant will manage general accounting, assist with financial statement reporting, budgeting, and audit requests. We are offering a competitive base salary and benefits package. The schedule is 3 days in the office, with an option to work remotely 2 days after a training period. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely manner Responsible for fixed asset tracking, including recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation each month Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger Work closely with the accounts payable team to ensure proper GL coding and appropriate approvals are obtained Manage the accounts receivable process including oversight of the credit card transaction processing system Oversee compliance reporting including property taxes, business licenses, and unclaimed property Provide documentation for interim and year-end audit requests KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Experience: 3-4 years of accounting experience Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required, experience with Microsoft GP Dynamics, Sage Fixed Assets, AvidXchange, Solver, and SAP Concur preferred Soft Skills: Ability to interact professionally with co-workers and management; a commitment to accurate reporting of financial information while maintaining confidentiality This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities and is not an exhaustive list of job tasks and expectations.
