Telecomm. Systems SW Engineer

Vega Networks is an exciting and dynamic organization that is shaping the future of broadband and wireless network connectivity. We are seeking an engineer with a strong Telecommunications and Wi-Fi background who is passionate about wireless networking technologies. You will contribute to the design, analysis, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi systems while also participating in the development of tools and software used to monitor, diagnose, and optimize Wi-Fi networks. Good software development skills are important, but strong knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies and wireless networking concepts is our primary focus. You will work closely with our international engineering team and should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Desired Experience and Qualifications include all or some of: Strong academic or professional background in Telecommunications, Wireless Communications, or Wi-Fi technologies . Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience is required Hands-on software development experience (e.g., Java, C#, or Python) is required; however, strong Telecommunications and Wi-Fi domain knowledge will be given higher priority. Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) technologies , protocols, and wireless networking concepts is highly preferred. Experience with Wi-Fi system validation , Systems QA , interoperability testing, or Wi-Fi test automation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7), roaming, Multi-AP, MLO, and wireless performance optimization is highly preferred. Strong analytical skills, capable of investigating and troubleshooting issues based on data Experience in algorithm analysis Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g. codex, Claude Code) is desirable. Familiarity with Linux (as user) as well as programming in scripting languages like Python. Familiarity with SQL Familiarity with MongoDB Familiarity with version control systems, such as git Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts Additional Desired Skills or Ability to Learn: Background in communications, such as an EE or EECS major is preferred Experience in data mining, statistical inference, or deep learning techniques is preferred Proficiency in SQL scripting for data manipulation is preferred Hands-on experience with machine learning packages is preferred Perks: We offer competitive salaries based on USD Full remote working is optional Please send your CV to career@veganetworks.net if interested
