Accountant Location: On-site, Fairbanks, AK A well-established and growing organization in Alaska is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its on-site team in Fairbanks. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to gain hands-on exposure across multiple areas of accounting while contributing to meaningful, project-driven work. In this role, you will be more than just a number cruncher. You will collaborate with operational teams, support financial accuracy across active projects, and play a key role in keeping financial processes running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations, including account reconciliations and financial data entry Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee records and reporting Review and process invoices, vendor payments, and related documentation Contribute to project-based billing and cost tracking activities Partner with internal teams to ensure financial data aligns with operational workflows Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required 0 to 5 years of accounting experience, including internships Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Proficiency with Excel and comfort working with financial data Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Maintains an optimistic mindset and shows strong openness to development Preferred Experience Exposure to project-based or construction-related accounting environments Familiarity with payroll or accounts payable processes Experience using accounting software such as Sage or similar systems Why This Opportunity Stands Out Gain broad exposure across multiple accounting functions early in your career Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams Be part of a collaborative and team-oriented environment Long-term stability with clear opportunities for professional growth Make a direct impact on business operations and financial performance About Blue Signal: Blue Signal is an award-winning, executive search firm specializing in finance & accounting recruiting.
