Role Description The Human Resources Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO. This role oversees all HR functions, including HR policy development and implementation, talent acquisition and onboarding, performance management, and employee relations across the organization. The Director will manage compliance with labor and employment laws, maintain accurate HR records, and support leadership with workforce planning and organizational development. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising managers on HR best practices, resolving employee concerns, coordinating training and development programs, guiding benefits and compensation processes in partnership with company leadership, and driving initiatives that strengthen company culture and engagement. The role also involves analyzing HR metrics, recommending improvements to HR processes, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Qualifications Strong Human Resources (HR) generalist background, including experience leading HR operations and strategic initiatives. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain clear, compliant HR Policies and procedures. Proven expertise in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, and support for managers and team members. Hands-on experience in Performance Management, including goal setting, feedback processes, and performance review systems. Solid knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, with a track record of ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risk. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels. Experience in industrial, construction, transportation, or rail-related environments is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) are a plus.
