# Experienced Welder

Ingram Barge Company

Ingram Barge is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in Port Allen, LA . This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram’s fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting! What you'll be doing: Welding/Cutting/Fitting 6011 / 7018 / 7024 Dry docking vessels for hull repair Operating forklift Operating hydraulic crane Firewatch on towing vessels Routine dock clean up Other duties as requested What we’re looking for: Demonstration of the Ingram Way Ability to uphold Ingram’s high safety standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Demonstration of critical thinking and decision-making skills Ability to demonstrate teamwork and acceptance of diversity Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED Years of Experience Required: 2-3 years of experience Shipyard experience and USCG certification preferred Candidates must: Possess a High School Diploma or GED Possess a valid driver’s license Display excellent communication skills Can walk and lift for extended periods Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
