Medical Assistant

Summary Job Summary Works under the direction of Licensed Healthcare Professionals. May assist with scheduling appointments, data entry, and preparation of vaccines for vaccinations to the community. Job Requirements Work Experience: License/Registration/Certification One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred. Certified Medical Assistant required; must obtain within 6 months of being in the position. Current BLS certification required. Education And Training High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant course required. Skills Highly effective communication skills. Proficiency and ability to type. Knows vaccine requirements for patients. Knowledge of the patient flow process, applicable per Clinic. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to document EMR.
