The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded OHS Manager to establish and lead the Occupational Health and Safety function of our new Data Center Group Company. Working across construction, commissioning, and operational activities, you will help shape the Company’s OHS culture, management systems, governance framework, and performance standards as the business expands across multiple geographies. What We Expect from You? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related discipline. A postgraduate qualification in OHS, risk management, fire safety, or a related field is strongly preferred. Minimum 10 years of OHS experience in construction, data center projects, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or mission-critical environments. NEBOSH International Certificate or an equivalent internationally recognised OHS qualification is required. Candidates holding a NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent advanced qualification will be given favourable consideration. A or B Class OHS Professional Certificate (Türkiye) is required. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred. Familiarity with international occupational health and safety standards and industry best practices applicable to mission-critical environments. Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 45001, EN 50600, OSHA, NFPA, TIA-942, or equivalent standards will be considered an advantage. Proven experience developing and implementing corporate-level OHS management systems, procedures, and governance frameworks not only site-level execution. Experience supporting projects financed by international financial institutions (IFIs) and familiarity with lender-related OHS requirements, reporting, and compliance processes is highly desirable. Broader awareness of Environmental and Social (E&S) requirements and their interface with OHS management will be considered an advantage. Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential for stakeholder communication, reporting, and compliance activities. Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in a joint venture and matrix organization. Willingness and readiness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis What You’ll Do? Strategic OHS Governance Own the OHS management system of the Data Center Group Company at corporate level: develop, review, and continuously improve OHS procedures, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001, HOL-HSE-PRO series, Digital Realty GCSS, and lenders requirements. Develop and deliver the OHS 2-3 year execution roadmap, KPIs, and executive reporting. Develop and present MBR/QBR narratives with key performance insights for senior management and Joint Venture leadership. Establish OHS dashboards and real-time reporting to support leadership decisions using HammerTech, Power BI, and the RSafe Executive Dashboard. Promote a Zero Harm safety culture through visible leadership, executive engagement plans, and structured cascade to project sites Build and develop the OHS organization to support business growth. Joint Venture & Lender Interface Serve as the corporate OHS focal point for the Joint Venture, ensuring alignment between JV requirements and RAS procedures Own compliance tracking of OHS-related ESAP items and lead lender audit preparation (IFC/EBRD), including AMR/AESR OHS section drafting, evidence packages, and management response letters. Represent OHS matters with JV partners, lenders, auditors, and leadership teams. Project and Site Support (Construction, Commissioning, Operations) Provide OHS technical direction and second-line support to project HSE teams across all data center projects in the portfolio. Review and challenge contractor Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, Method Statements, Permit-to-Work systems, lifting plans, and commissioning safety plans. Provide oversight of high-risk activities associated with data center construction, commissioning, and operations, including electrical works, energization activities, lifting operations, work at height, confined spaces, fire and life safety systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS). Conduct corporate OHS audits and inspections across projects; drive closure of findings through the digital platform. Lead high-severity incident investigations and root cause analyses using structured methodology (Tripod Beta, Bow-Tie, ICAM, 5-Why); own escalation decisions and lessons-learned dissemination. Partner with project teams in identifying and mitigating operational risks. Programme Delivery and Continuous Improvement Implement OHS programs, systems, and standardization initiatives. Develop and manage data center-specific OHS training and competency programmes covering electrical safety, LOTO, commissioning safety, contractor management, emergency preparedness, and other critical risk areas. Leverage digital tools, analytics, and automation to improve OHS performance. Coordinate the OHS interface with the Sustainability/Environmental function on shared topics refrigerant management, BESS end-of-life, diesel emissions, community noise, and fire suppression agent selection.
