# Lead Estimator

The Lead Estimator will be responsible for the accurate estimation of the materials needed in single-family and multi-family projects, according to engineered and designed plans. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: ‪Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide lumber/material estimates.
• Communicates effectively with all organizational levels and builder representatives.
• Provides problem-solving solutions using Building Codes and product information.
• Prepares detailed construction proposals from customer blueprints for customer presentation.
• Assists in training and development of other estimators as required. Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and interpret building codes
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills and multi-tasking
• Ability to learn estimating software and should have strong computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, including customers, builders, peers, and management
• Self-managing; works well under little supervision Candidate should have
• Knowledge of Building Materials, Construction Industry, and Retail Lumber Sales, and at least 2 years of experience in related field
• Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD or Estimating software is preferred $52,000 to $62,000 Annually Benefits Offered: Vision, Medical, Life, Dental, 401K Busy and well established lumberyard in Boston area
