REMOTE - Marketing Data Analyst

Required Skills: Must have at least 2 years experience in a BI Data Analyst role tied to supporting a business unit outside of IT or a role heavily focused on marketing analytics, performance marketing analytics or growth analytics Must have advanced SQL query writing skills including joins, CTEs, data extraction, and query optimization Experience working within Snowflake or another SQL based datawarehouse for data analysis and audience extraction Experience building BI dashboards and reporting solutions using Looker and/or Hex Experience analyzing performance marketing channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates, Partnerships, Display, OTT, Email, and Direct Mail Experience developing marketing performance forecasts, budget pacing reports, and acquisition projections Experience analyzing ROI, application metrics, funnel metrics, and customer behavior data Ability to translate business questions into data requirements and actionable recommendations Experience partnering with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Risk, IT, and Data Engineering teams Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality Heavy analytical and critical thinking skills required for this role Must be curious and able to ask good questions Participate in requirements gathering sessions, take client requirements and then be able to quickly work on building a draft solution for the business to then refine Bachelor's degree in areas such as finance, accounting, STEM related majors, Computer Science or Data Analytics Desired Skills: Experience supporting sales and marketing teams a huge plus Experience within financial services, fintech, lending, banking, or other regulated industries Experience supporting highly seasonal businesses with significant fluctuations in marketing spend and acquisition demand Experience developing acquisition, spend, and revenue forecasting models Experience using Python or R for advanced analytics, experimentation, or statistical modeling Experience performing attribution modeling, customer journey analysis, cohort analysis, and retention analysis Experience creating audience segmentation and targeting strategies using behavioral and demographic data Experience enabling self-service analytics through dashboard development, training, and documentation Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams on source tables, schemas, and data transformations Description of Role/Responsibilities/Project: Seeking a highly analytical BI Data Analyst who ideally has experience supporting marketing and sales users to focus on three main responsibilities: building BI dashboards, working to analyze data to help budget and forecast on monthly, annual and peak season times and lastly reporting on audience analytics using SQL queries for data extractions. This role is key to providing data analysis that supports customer acquisition and growth initiatives across multiple marketing channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates, Display, OTT, Email, and Direct Mail. This highly visible role will partner with Marketing, Product, Finance, Risk, Analytics, and IT teams to drive data-driven decision making through forecasting, audience analytics, performance reporting, and customer insights. The position offers strong exposure to executive leadership while utilizing Snowflake, SQL, Looker, and Hex to influence acquisition strategy, optimize marketing investments, and support business growth.
