Your new company Hays is partnering with a well-established and growing general contractor in the Howard County, MD area that specializes in government, IDIQ, commercial, and institutional construction projects throughout the region. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an Estimator with approximately 3+ years of experience to join their pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to develop their career while working on diverse and challenging projects ranging from $5M to $20M. Project types include Government Construction, IDIQ Contracts, and Commercial projects. Your new role Prepare accurate conceptual and detailed estimates for a variety of projects Review plans, specifications, and bid documents Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Participate in bid reviews and proposal preparation Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis Support pre-construction efforts throughout the project life cycle Work closely with project management and operations teams What you'll need to succeed 3+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry Experience working for a General Contractor preferred Candidates from a strong specialty subcontractor background will also be considered Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication and organizational skills Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office What you'll get in return Base Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 15 Days Paid Time Off Seven Paid Holidays Medical Insurance Employer Paid Life Insurance Tuition Assistance Program Up to 5% 401(k) Match Discretionary Annual Bonus Mileage Reimbursement Remote Fridays Available
