# Experienced Sign Designer

Experienced Sign Designer At Appleton Sign, we value our graphic designers as one of the things that sets us apart from our competition. The graphic designer at our sign company must be able to take direction from our internal sales staff as well as clients and be able to create and communicate their ideas. We are looking for a highly creative and skilled graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, for both 2D and 3D projects. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project. Previous experience working at a sign company, is a must. Daily Responsibilities
• A 5 day work week, 8am-4pm Mon-Thursday and 8am-Noon on Fridays.
• Working on a wide range of design projects using vector based software to visually communicate details for clients, estimators and production staff.
• Internal design projects for marketing may be requested by supervisors.
• A light schedule of updating social media accounts and website may be required. Skills and Qualifications
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design/ Marketing .
• Minimum of 2 years working as a sign designer in a sign shop is required.
• Proven experience with vector based illustration software (Adobe Illustrator / Corel Draw / etc.). Some Adobe Photoshop knowledge is a plus.
• A creatively strong portfolio of projects that focus on branding, identity development, functional design, and/or sign design and vehicle wraps.
• Excellent communication, grammar and math skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines and prioritizing projects.
• A talented and motivated individual with attention to detail, a positive attitude and an “eye for design”.
• Ability to listen, process information and deliver an end product, on time.
• Passion for the visual arts, pride in craftsmanship of work and enthusiasm for all things design. Benefits

• Typical work week is 36 hours.
• Compensation will depend on level of expertise and experience in position.
• Scheduled semi-annual reviews and increases in compensation based on performance can be expected.
