The organization continues to grow and expand while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Sunbelt Modular is seeking Estimators to join its corporate team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an opportunity to join a growing organization and work on a diverse range of modular building projects serving customers and operating locations across the country. Role Overview The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost estimates for modular building projects across a variety of commercial sectors. This role plays a critical part in the project lifecycle, connecting customers with design, engineering, procurement, production, and other internal teams to translate project requirements into detailed cost projections. Success in this role requires more than technical estimating experience. Sunbelt is looking for someone who communicates proactively, takes initiative, and is comfortable asking questions when additional information or clarification is needed. The right candidate will be eager to learn, willing to research unfamiliar requirements, comfortable working across teams, and able to adapt as project needs change. Location: Phoenix, AZ Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project requirements, architectural drawings, specifications, conceptual designs, and other available project information Develop preliminary budgets, detailed estimates, and final bid proposals for modular building projects Research project requirements and analyze material, labor, equipment, transportation, subcontractor, and other applicable project costs Communicate with customers to understand project needs, clarify requirements, and gather information necessary to develop accurate estimates Research special pricing, building-code considerations, structural requirements, and other project-specific specifications Solicit and review pricing and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative materials, methods, or configurations when appropriate Evaluate project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates Price change orders, project revisions, and red-line changes Prepare accurate sales release packages and coordinate project information with Engineering and other internal teams Manage multiple estimates and competing priorities, including following up on outstanding pricing, project information, and active estimates Basic Qualifications Relevant experience in estimating, construction, construction-adjacent, manufacturing, or a related project-based environment; 2+ years preferred General computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams Strong research, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail Proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn, take direction, ask questions, and research unfamiliar information Preferred Qualifications Estimating experience within commercial construction, modular, offsite, or prefabricated construction, manufacturing, or a related environment Experience reading construction drawings, plans, blueprints, or specifications Knowledge of construction materials, building systems, or building-code requirements Familiarity with design-build project delivery methods Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, or cross-functional project teams Knowledge of logistics and transportation considerations related to modular buildings or construction projects Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation Why Join Sunbelt Modular?
