ABOUT THIS JOB We are looking for product focused systems engineers to work on Teleport itself. You will work on problems ranging from networking and performance to security and integrations with external systems. You will work on the full product lifecycle from working with customers to understand their problems, writing RFDs for your proposed design, implementation, testing, and documentation. Teleport is an open core project and most of the code you will write will be open source and written in Go WHAT YOU'LL DO • You'll join one of Teleport's access teams. These teams build secure, passwordless access to every kind of infrastructure, using short lived credentials, and it has to work at the scale of our largest customers. • Find and fix performance bottlenecks through profiling, load testing, and studying how the system behaves under partitions and partial failures. • Work directly with large customers to diagnose and fix scaling and reliability problems in production. • Improve observability, tracing and failure handling so the access layer can be debugged at scale. REQUIREMENTS • Builder mentality and experience • you love building zero-to-one products • Extensive Go experience. • Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms. • Linux systems software engineering experience NICE TO HAVE • Significant contributions in Open Source is a big plus.
