The Kitchen Hood Suppression System Technician will work in Southern Nevada and will primarily be responsible for inspecting, installing, and servicing fire kitchen suppression systems (hoods) from various manufactures. This technician will be responsible for performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs and maintain complete detailed inspection and repair documentation on all work performed. The desired candidate is reliable, thorough, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and must hold a valid E Card. Responsibilities Perform installation, inspection, service and repairs on special hazards fire suppression and other related system products Service, troubleshoot and installing many different manufacturers’ (including Ansul, Pyro Chem, Range Guard, Buckeye, and Piranha, etc.) special hazard systems Read and understand assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work for inspections and determine if additional information is needed Consult and advise customers regarding potential safety issues (i.e., need to clean hood, additional fire extinguishers, etc.) Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with internal and external customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience Partner with sales to grow and protect the service segment of our business Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed prior to leaving job site Invoice paperwork in a timely manner Maintain a clean and safe work area Pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with work Maintain accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customers’ needs Train, mentor, and coach new hires learning kitchen hood suppression systems Stay current with code requirements and industry changes Attend and complete all required training courses, including safety training Requirements Perform other related duties as assigned or required Valid driver’s license Authorized to work in the USA 2+ years of prior, relevant work experience E Card High School Diploma/ GED Able to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer needs Able to lift and move tools and equipment up to 100 lbs. Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Knowledge of NFPA code and non-conformance issues Excellent verbal and written communications skills Able to work independently, with little supervisor Organized, systematic, and adherent to deadlines Able to travel to multiple jobs sides each day Certifications in Ansul, Pyro Chem, Range Guard, Buckeye, and Piranha suppression systems Preferred B/C, G, and/or F Card CSA Certification NICET Certification OSHA Certification Knowledge working in Profit Zoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity Benefits Medical Dental Vision Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) matching
