GLOBAL FORCE PROGRAM MANAGER
Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations
You will serve as a GLOBAL FORCE PROGRAM MANAGER in the OPERATIONS DIVISION of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
You will direct component and sub-unified Commander employment and deployment of assigned and allocated forces via the Global Force Management orders process.
You will manage and track assigned forces allocated to other Combatant Commands to ensure assigned and allocated forces remaining in theater are sufficient and available to meet requirements within the AOR.
You will provide in-depth knowledge and continuity in overseeing the administrative and managerial operations of work accomplished by subordinates.
You will participate in working groups and stand 12-hour daily watch (7 days per week) within and in conjunction with the Joint Operations Center during exercises and contingencies.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing military force allocation and deployment activities within a Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service Component headquarters; 2) Utilizing the Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager and applying in-depth knowledge of the Global Force Management Implementation Guidance (GFMIG) and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual 3130; 3) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing to brief senior leaders; 4) Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment using Microsoft Office applications; and 5) Completing complex tasks and projects to develop data-driven recommendations in support of decision-making, supply chain logistics, and corporate operations. Eligible DoD career or career conditional employees shall be granted statutory return rights to their former position for a period of 5 years if continuously employed in a foreign or non-foreign area provided by Executive Order 10895 and DoDI 1400.25, v 1230. Employees that do not exercise their return rights within five years are no longer eligible for return rights and will be treated as a local hire. This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.
