You'll build a strong foundation in finance, research, and market behavior, with hands-on sector insights and mentorship from leading investors.  Overview  Throughout the 10-week internship program, students will gain comprehensive knowledge in investment research and analysis • setting the foundation for potentially a full-time role in our Junior Analyst program.  As a part of the internship program, you will have the opportunity to work with some of our best analysts and our trading team. Interns will focus on gaining expertise in either one or two of our core coverage sectors, working closely with our senior analysts. They will be exposed to our trading methodologies and will pitch ideas to our Best Ideas investment team.   What you’ll do:  Research broader market factors and themes as well as dive deeper into verticals within tech, healthcare, consumer, energy, industrials and financials.   Develop fundamental analysis skills to identify attractive investment opportunities in both public and private equities.  Leverage alternative datasets to perform various types of diligence on both private and public companies.  Develop your technical acumen and communication skills.  Facilitate relationships with the street and build partnerships with banks across the sell-side.  Research and support strategies within the firm’s current trading framework.  Pitch your work and trade recommendations to the investment team.  Qualifications:   Ability to build effective relationships externally and collaborate with teammates globally.  Demonstrate passion for both investing and industry trends in the public markets.  Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to quickly synthesize thoughts and organize information.  Creative thinking and problem-solving skills alongside a willingness to take initiative.  An openness to tackling any project or task that is required.  Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in a penultimate year of study.    The minimum base salary for this role is $150,000 if located in New York.  This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting.  This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation.  This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.  Successful candidates’ compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
