This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the globe.  As an Environmental Compliance specialist you will participate in evaluating the compliance status of industrial facilities, assisting them in applying for and complying with various environmental permits, and helping facilities identify and comply with other environmental obligations. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will: Conduct environmental compliance inspections and audits at client facilities to evaluate adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Develop, maintain, and update environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance programs, including SPCC Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Groundwater Protection Plans, Waste Minimization Plans, and other regulatory documentation. Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings, including EPCRA Tier II, Toxic Release Inventory (Form R), NetDMR, EPA CDX submissions, and other required compliance reports. Perform air emissions calculations, compliance evaluations, and regulatory reporting. Research and interpret environmental regulations and emerging compliance requirements, providing guidance to clients and project teams. Deliver environmental, health, and safety training programs at client facilities. Conduct environmental sampling, monitoring, and data collection activities, including soil, hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, and industrial hygiene assessments. Prepare technical reports, labor and material cost estimates, and client proposals for environmental compliance projects. Oversee subcontractors and field activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and site-specific health and safety protocols. Support clients in maintaining compliance with applicable environmental and occupational health and safety regulations while developing practical, business-focused solutions. SKILLS/EXPERIENCEMinimum Skills and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. 3+ years of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) consulting (including internships). Working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance programs, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and client priorities simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail, listening, documentation, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment in both office and field environments. Willingness and ability to travel regularly to client locations throughout the region, with occasional overnight and national travel as project needs require. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment while adapting to changing priorities and project demands. Strong commitment to quality, safety, and client service excellence. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Ability to perform field work and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
