A Fortune 500 investment firm is seeking a Data Analyst to support its Alternative Investments Data Strategy team within Global Distribution. This small, business-facing team transforms fragmented alternatives data into reporting, analytics, and actionable insights that support the sales organization. This hands-on role combines data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and automation. The analyst will use SQL and Python within Databricks and Snowflake to build data workflows, improve reporting processes, and develop reliable, reusable solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can wear multiple hats and solve practical business problems in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities Build and maintain reporting and analytics related to sales, flows, opportunities, fundraising, transactions, products, and advisor or firm targeting. Write SQL and Python to extract, transform, reconcile, validate, and analyze data using Databricks and Snowflake. Develop and improve data workflows, pipelines, and scheduled reporting processes. Automate manual data preparation, reporting, validation, notification, and exception-management activities. Investigate data and production workflow issues, improve data quality, and implement sustainable solutions. Translate recurring business questions into scalable reports, analytics, and data products. Coordinate with sales, business, operations, and enterprise data partners as needed to deliver prioritized initiatives. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in analytics, computer science, information systems, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Two or more years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data operations, or reporting. Strong hands-on SQL and Python skills. Experience with ETL, data transformation, data validation, and cloud data lake environments. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with close attention to data quality. Preferred Experience creating dashboards or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or a similar platform. Experience using Databricks and Snowflake, including working with Python and SQL workflows. Exposure to financial services, asset management, or alternative investments. Familiarity with sales, CRM, transaction, flow, advisor, or product data. Experience replacing manual Excel or reporting processes with scalable automation. Experience with Git, APIs, workflow-orchestration tools, or approved AI-assisted development tools.
