# Human Resources Generalist

Greater Keene, NH Area | On-site A well-established and growing organization is seeking a Human Resources Generalist / Payroll Specialist to oversee day-to-day HR operations while managing weekly payroll processing. This is a hands-on role that combines payroll administration, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and HR support within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process weekly payroll for approximately 120-160 employees Review and manage employee time entry and attendance records Prepare payroll reports for leadership and accounting teams Administer direct deposits, 401(k) contributions, and related payroll transactions Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations Manage vacation accruals and benefit-related payroll activities Coordinate certified payroll reporting and monthly benefit reconciliations Human Resources Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts and fill open positions Post job openings, review resumes, and coordinate candidate selection processes Assist with onboarding and employee documentation Support employee relations matters, including performance, disciplinary, and workplace concerns Help administer employee benefits and annual enrollment activities Maintain personnel records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date Compliance & Employee Support Assist leadership with employee relations and workplace compliance matters Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws Support the administration and interpretation of company policies and procedures Foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field 4+ years of HR Generalist experience, including payroll administration Experience processing payroll in a computerized payroll environment Strong knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and compliance requirements Advanced communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and organizational abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Willingness to occasionally travel between regional locations What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing payroll, employee support, recruiting, and compliance responsibilities. This person will be relationship-focused, highly organized, and comfortable partnering with management on a wide range of HR initiatives.
