Job Summary Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Albuquerque, NM). We offer sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits! Will Make An Impact In The Following Ways Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Completes complex internal engine repairs Performs engine overhauls unassisted Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software Brake Systems: Brake inspections, adjustments, repairs, caliper replacement, pads/shoes, rotors/drums, and air brake components. Suspension: Inspect and repair springs, shocks, bushings, torque rods, and suspension components. Steering: Diagnose and repair steering components, tie rods, drag links, steering boxes, and related hardware. Wheel Ends: Hub, bearing, seal, wheel, and lug-related repairs and inspections. Axles & Driveline: Diagnose and repair axle components, U-joints, driveshafts, and related driveline components. Chassis Electrical: Diagnose wiring, lighting, sensors, ABS, and other chassis electrical systems. Frame & Structural: Inspect and repair chassis/frame components and mounting hardware. Preventive Maintenance: Perform chassis inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and required maintenance. Diagnostics: Troubleshoot chassis-related faults and determine necessary repairs and parts. Documentation: Complete accurate repair documentation, parts identification, and safety inspections. A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older A current valid license is required for this role Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing. Education, Licenses, Certifications Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally Valid Driving Permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Compensation And Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
