About Hoffman Creative Hoffman Creative is a boutique New York design studio and production practice partnering with iconic brands to shape visual identity, digital experiences, and multi-channel creative campaigns. The Role As Senior Designer, you will be a vital member of Hoffman’s creative team reporting directly to the studio’s Director of Design. A master of your craft, you will manage multiple projects at once, often across different media, consistently delivering high-end communication solutions that exceed client expectations. You will research, concept, execute, and present work that aligns with project strategy and creative direction. You will interface with clients and studio collaborators (freelancers, partners, and vendors), throughout the scope of projects ensuring they are implemented effectively. This can also involve participating in creative reviews, client presentations, and internal discussions with the Hoffman leadership team when called upon. As a senior creative, your work will define Hoffman’s offering to clients, and you will look to push Hoffman’s level of excellence and expand its offerings. Your expertise will be an invaluable resource to your fellow team members, and you will help mentor and grow the creative capabilities of the team through your understanding and interpretation of industry trends and broader developments in art, branding, culture, marketing, or technology. Key Responsibilities • Contribute strong vision and new ideas to the conceptual development of creative, branding, print, and visual design projects. • Craft compelling and innovative design solutions that elevate client brands. • Work fluidly across all media to develop cohesive and holistic brand narratives. • Consistently deliver stellar design work, balancing creative ambition with client objectives. Collaboration and Team Dynamics • Work with account managers, project managers, and other resources to deliver creative output within project goals and timelines. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality. • Inspire and collaborate with junior designers, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing. • Contribute as a lead voice within the studio during creative discussions and group critique. • Provide oversight and manage external partners and vendors to complete projects, maintaining consistency and quality expected of Hoffman projects. • Present creative to clients in a way that champions Hoffman’s methodology and strategic goals, elevates client experience, and emphasizes client education and empowerment. • Work directly with clients to manage the sharing of information and assets, and oversee the implementation of creative by the client’s internal team, anticipating any sources of difficulty and troubleshooting when needed. Strategic & Technical Expertise • Comprehension of identity systems including design of logo marks, custom type and eye for color palettes. • Technical proficiency and experience with custom web design and interfacing with programming partners. • Familiarity with print production and print mechanicals, ensuring seamless execution from design to delivery and continually finding ways to improve the process. • Clear communication skills when working directly with executives, creative leads, and project managers in a dynamic, collaborative structure. • Contribute to the growing network of freelance specialists the studio can rely upon to expand its capacity and capabilities when needed. • Confidence leading client status meetings and presenting creative work. • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage feedback, scope adjustments, and multiple priorities simultaneously. • Entrepreneurial, self-directed working style comfortable bringing structure and clarity to a fast-moving studio environment. Qualifications 5–8 years of experience in branding, graphic design, and/or art direction within a creative studio or design firm. Applicant must submit a portfolio demonstrating their design experience including comprehension of identity systems (logo marks and type), print design (collateral, books, editorial, stationery, signage, wayfinding, etc.) and digital applications (web design, animations, social initiatives). Candidate must be available to work FT in-house Mon-Thurs, with a remote day on Friday, and must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to live and work in the U.S. Skills Applicants must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Video editing, photography, light retouching, and animation development are a plus. Familiarity with project management and communication tools like Asana, Harvest and Slack are an asset. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 Comprehensive Health Care Contribution Discretionary Bonus 401K Retirement Plan 2 Weeks Vacation + Holidays/PTO
