Overview: The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative tasks aimed to optimize the time and performance of a manager or employees of a department; higher level roles will work for higher level managers or departments. Tasks may involve acting as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls, managing diaries, organizing meetings and appointments, preparing documents or reports, and controlling access to the manager or the department. May involve dealing with confidential information. Anticipated Status/Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week) Day Shift Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Requirements: Education High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience 4-6 months basic experience of simple office/operational systems (Required) Prior experience in Microsoft Office (Strongly Preferred) keywords: admin, office, operations, support, microsoft, norfolk We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.63 - $35.55 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
