ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Comptroller Department (01), Business & Financial Management Division (01F), Financial Services Branch (01F3) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370). You will serve as the Lead Financial/Business Analyst and Financial Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Financial Services Branch (FSB). You will provide advanced, centralized business and financial services to Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Projects, Departments, and Divisions. You will act as the primary business and financial advisor, delivering financial management services to management, internal partners, and external sponsors. You will exercise high-level independent judgment, evaluating complex fiscal requirements and providing recommendations on the interpretation and application of agency policies and regulations concerning financial management. You will direct efforts with key personnel on mission-oriented projects, developing strategic methods to improve program reporting effectiveness through advanced cost analysis and system performance evaluation. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating financial management requirements to develop program and process improvement strategies in alignment with mission goals for operational readiness.
