• 40 Hours/Week Now Offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus! We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our dedicated team. The RD will play a vital role in providing comprehensive and individualized nutritional care to patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis treatment. LOCATION: 19001 Hubbard Dr. Dearborn, MI 48126 GENERAL SUMMARY: Ready to make a real difference in patients' lives? As a Registered Dietitian at Fairlane Dialysis, you'll be the nutritional champion for our dialysis patients! You'll partner with an amazing interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive nutritional care while building strong connections with fellow dietitians to keep the knowledge flowing and education thriving. Key Responsibilities: Get to know your patients: Conduct engaging initial and follow-up assessments with patients and their support systems to understand their unique nutritional needs. Assess and strategize: Evaluate patients' nutritional status and develop personalized diet plans that actually work for their lifestyle. Educate and empower: Share your nutrition expertise with patients, caregivers, and unit staff through clear, practical guidance they can use every day. Build the bridge: Coordinate seamlessly with hospitals, extended care facilities, home health agencies, senior centers, and community partners to ensure consistent nutritional care. Track progress: Monitor how well patients are sticking to their diet plans and celebrate wins along the way. Recommend and refine: Suggest adjustments to phosphorus binders, renal vitamins, stool softeners, oral iron products, cinacalcet, vitamin D analogs, and calcium supplements based on individual needs. Dive into the data: Review monthly lab results with patients and translate the numbers into actionable insights. Problem-solve creatively: Recommend innovative nutritional solutions like alternate feeding routes, tube feedings, and supplemental options tailored to each patient. Be the hero in a crisis: Respond quickly and effectively to urgent nutritional concerns like hyperkalemia and other panic values. Connect the dots: Stay alert to how medications interact with nutrition and adjust recommendations accordingly. You may be asked to take on additional job-related tasks as needed to support our team and patients. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Completion of an approved dietetic internship. ADA Registered Minimum of 1-year professional experience as RD in clinical nutrition.
