# Staff Accountant

This is a search for a Staff Accountant. If your background and experience meet the main requirements below, please apply and we will follow up with the full job description and client details. Responsibilities & Scope Daily reconciliation for US and Canada bank accounts in AX accounting system Create weekly journal entries for payroll, taxes, and related employee benefit costs. Prepare and post recurring and standard journal entries. Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. Complete month-end closing processes and account reconciliations as requested (A/P, A/R, Accr Liab). Perform balance sheet reconciliations and identify unusual or outstanding item and follow up on reconciling items and ensure they are resolved timely. Backup to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed. Work with other accounting team members on monthly close and AP and AR questions as needed. Qualifications Associate Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience Four to Six (4-6) years of experience in accounting Strong demonstrated ability to use MS Office products and accounting software Excellent problem solving skills required. Inventory management and reconciliations. Ability to work with IT and systems personnel and understand relationship between underlying processes within theaccounting system (AX) and accounting reporting results.
