Role: Float Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient hemodialysis care in the Orlando area and beyond. Responsibilities Include Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, including data collection before, during, and after dialysis. Collaborating with the healthcare team to modify treatment plans and ensure safety and effectiveness. Educating patients and families about treatment options and self-care. Administering medications, managing emergency responses, and ensuring proper laboratory procedures. Mentoring new staff, leading quality improvement projects, and serving as a resource for clinical guidance. Delegating tasks to team members and supervising Patient Care Technicians, LPNs, and LVNs. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with current state licensure. At least 7 years of nephrology nursing experience, with certification in Dialysis, Nephrology, or Hemodialysis preferred. CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of federal and state regulations. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving patients, and working in a healthcare environment. Leadership experience, including supervising or mentoring staff, is desirable. Key Duties: delivering safe dialysis treatment, ensuring compliance with policies, providing education, leading quality initiatives, and supporting team collaboration.
