Senior Accountant – Industrial Construction / Project Accounting (POC & WIP)

Axis Industries is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this hands-on role will focus on POC/WIP accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, job costing, month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain POC schedules and WIP reports Monitor project costs, billings, margins, and estimated costs to complete Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end close Prepare journal entries, schedules, and management reporting Support cash management, sales/use tax, and annual audits Partner with Project Management and Operations to resolve project variances Support accounting process and internal control improvements What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Hands-on POC/WIP and job cost accounting experience Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP Experience in construction, industrial services, engineering, or another project-based industry Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system experience CPA/CPA-eligible and public accounting experience are a plus What We Offer: Competitive compensation, health/dental/vision benefits, 401(k), PTO and holidays, and opportunities for professional growth.
