Director of Service About The Opportunity Thompson Solutions Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Service to lead the growth, profitability, and operational performance of our Service Division. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, maintenance-agreement, and small-project operations. You'll work closely with company leadership to drive business growth, strengthen customer relationships, develop high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional service. What You'll Do Lead the overall performance and growth of the Service Division. Develop and execute strategies that improve profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Manage department financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and key performance metrics. Oversee daily service operations, including staffing, scheduling, dispatching, and project execution. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and strategic accounts. Support business development efforts and expand recurring revenue opportunities. Recruit, develop, and mentor service managers and field leaders. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Leverage technology and performance data to enhance service delivery and the customer experience. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 8+ years of leadership experience in electrical, mechanical, construction, or service operations. 5+ years of experience leading managers or supervisors. Proven success managing a service business with responsibility for growth, profitability, and workforce development. Strong financial, operational, and strategic business acumen. Exceptional leadership and team development skills. Strong customer relationship and business development capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
