# SUPERVISORY HR SPEC (EMPLOYEE RELATIONS/LABOR RELATIONS)

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (EMPLOYEE RELATIONS/LABOR RELATIONS) in the HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT BRANCH of HQ US MARINE CORPS. You will provide expert advice and assistance on management-employee relations, discipline, adverse actions, administrative and negotiated grievances.
You will review and advise management on performance plans and provide technical information on performance management systems.
You will serve as the senior Labor Relations advisor for serviced organizations.
You will coordinate with legal and management officials.
You will gather background information and prepare formal correspondence on the full range of disciplinary actions.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing complex legal problems and providing advice and assistance on management-employee relations, labor practices, administrative and negotiated grievances, performance management AND/OR employee counseling. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Additional Information Continued: This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.
