Full Stack Software Engineer

CO-Ver | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Remote (US), Jacksonville, FL area highly preferred | $90–$140k DOE | W2 | Full-time In the change orders we've reviewed, GCs routinely overbill 10–15%, and owners have no systematic way to catch it. CO-Ver helps owners and developers review, validate, and challenge construction change orders before they pay them. The platform is live in production and processing real change orders for customers. It combines document ingestion, scope and cost comparison, estimate review workflows, and LLM-assisted analysis, with our in-house estimators reviewing submitted COs daily. We're a small team working directly with customers in an expensive, underserved market. You'll work closely with leadership and have a real voice in product and architecture. What it's like here: We're young, growing fast, and still figuring things out. We run on trust: we hire people we believe in and get out of their way. Process is light but real. Most weeks are normal hours, but occasionally something comes up in the evening or on a weekend, and we need people willing to jump in when it matters. We're async-first, so clear writing matters a lot. You'll do well here if you: think in systems and reason about tradeoffs across the stack, can take a defined problem to a working feature without every step spelled out, and make good calls when guidance is incomplete while staying aligned with the team. Requirements: Strong TypeScript and React/Next.js, solid data modeling, experience shipping and maintaining production web apps, experience building features where an LLM makes a judgment call or decision as part of the application flow, not just generates text. Nice to have: PDF/document pipelines, multi-tenant architecture and auth patterns, testing (Vitest/Jest/Playwright), agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) in a production codebase, model-selection tradeoffs across providers (cost, latency, capability), construction domain knowledge.
